HEADLINE
ABOUT THE CLERK'S OFFICE
The Gwinnett County Clerk of Court is the custodian of civil, criminal, land, and property records. The Clerk also serves as the Appeal Administrator for the Board of Equalization. The duties of the Clerk’s Office are varied and numerous. In addition to the duties prescribed by the legislature, the Clerk’s office works according to the rules of the courts for which he or she serves. Gwinnett is the only metropolitan county in Georgia that combines four courts under the purview of a single clerk.
INNOVATION + TECHNOLOGY
Under Tiana’s leadership, the Clerk’s Office launched an archival imaging project to make all county filings available online. Additionally, E-file has been made available for all four courts, including juvenile.
EFFICIENCY
The Clerk‘s Office has gone green to increase cost savings by reducing the printing and storage needs. The office has also modernized its systems to begin accepting electronic payments for services.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Uncovering ways to improve customer service is priority number 1 for Tiana. Since she took helm of the Clerk‘s Office, residents are now able to submit and search various court filings online without having to come to the building. She also launched FANS (File Activity Notification System) to equip property owners with the tools to monitor filing activity on their property to help prevent fraud in real estate transactions.

In 2020, I accepted the charge of our community to safeguard the administrative backbone of our county when I ran for Clerk of Court. We won. And it’s time to do it again.
It has been my honor to serve you as your Clerk of Court. Gwinnett is my home. I spent many of my younger years in Gwinnett and chose to move back permanently in 2006. I started my family here and have the joy of raising two beautiful girls with my husband in a community that loves them.
The goals we set were simple: to build on the established traditions of leadership and service in the Clerk’s Office with technological enhancements, cost-cutting efficiencies, and an expansion in offerings that save customers time and money. We made good on these goals and more. And there’s more to do.
Hi, I'm Tiana...
Prior to serving as Clerk of Court, I practiced criminal and family law.
I also served in the Clerk of Court’s Office as Chief Deputy where my previous experience as a trial attorney and overall knowledge of the law prepared me to succeed my former boss, Richard T. Alexander, Jr., Esq, who honorably served the Clerk’s Office for nearly a decade before my tenure.
